Fair Use Policy

Last updated: April 2026 · Incorporated into our Terms & Conditions

TenderCircle is built for UK SMEs and teams using the platform in a normal, proportionate way. This Fair Use Policy explains what we expect, what we may limit, and what happens if use is excessive, abusive, or harms other users or the platform.

This policy protects service quality, security, and fair access for all subscribers. It complements the acceptable use rules in our Terms. If we describe limits in-product (e.g. per plan), those limits form part of this policy.

Fair use includes: browsing and searching within the Service; saving or tracking a reasonable number of opportunities for genuine bid/no-bid decisions; using email or in-app alerts as intended; and accessing features included in your subscription tier.

Non-exhaustive examples include:

  • automated or scripted access, bulk downloads, or systematic extraction of data not intended by the product UI;
  • sharing login credentials across many people to evade seat or subscription limits;
  • using the Service primarily to build a competing database, feed, or resale product;
  • generating traffic or API calls far beyond typical use for your plan without our written agreement;
  • circumventing technical limits, rate limits, or caps we apply;
  • patterns of use that degrade performance or availability for others.

Plans may specify user seats or organisation profiles. You must not use one account to serve multiple unrelated businesses beyond what your plan allows, unless we expressly permit it in writing.

Where the Service allows export or download, use it for your internal business purposes. Mass export for republication, scraping, or commercial redistribution outside the Service is not fair use without permission.

We may, at our discretion: throttle or slow requests; require you to upgrade; temporarily suspend features; contact you to discuss usage; or suspend or terminate accounts under our Terms & Conditions. We may use technical data (see Privacy Policy) to detect unfair use.

If you need higher limits (e.g. enterprise use), contact help@tendercircle.co.uk before your use becomes non-compliant.
